The pool is right across from our house! If you didn’t bring pool stuff, Dollar General has everything you need. It is located right outside the Emerald Shores north gate! Alvin’s Island has multiple locations across Destin for nets, clothes and beach stuff. You can walk there as well. The closest location is just past Pompano Joes!

The beach is a short walk down the street. There is a free golf cart shuttle that goes back and forward most of the day provided seasonally. Be sure to use your sunscreen! Even on shady days the water and sand reflect so much!!!

At the beach, there is a beach pavilion that offers snow cones, drinks, beers etc. for guests and residents only! There is also a bathroom here!

You can rent SUP boards, kayaks, chairs etc. right on the private beach through our beach service, La Dolce Vida. You are also able to reserve ahead of time. https://www.ldvbeach.com

Bring flashlights … go down to the beach at night and you can catch sand crabs just above the high-water line – kids will love it! During the day you can also catch small fish in nets right as the waves crash onto the shore! You can also catch clams and sand fleas (small crab) right where the waves retreat!
